Canada takes on another enemy in team Russia in the semifinal game with the winner playing for Gold and the losers playing for bronze. The other semi game is Sweden versus Finland and no matter who ends up in the final it will be 2 strong teams that deserve it and it should be very entertaining hockey.
Canada has made it to the gold medal game many times and has nearly put together a string of 10 straight gold medal games in the last 10 years while winning 5. Last year Canada lost the gold to the Russians in the 3rd period. Canada was up 3-0 after 2 periods then the wheels just fell off and the Russians poured it on to score 5 third period goals and shock the Canadian fans as the team played perfectly up until that last period.
Hopefully we dont see a repeat of the 1987 Canada Russia brawl.
