Power came back on at 3am. How did we know? The burgler alarm's piercing shriek woke us. Disoriented, it took us a minute or so to realize what the hell it was. I punched in the code and the alarm people called to make sure we were ok. Yay - phone is back in service too. We blearily congratulate one another and all wander back to bed. On the cusp of falling back to sleep, the phone rings. It was Dominion Power calling with a recorded message telling us they've fixed our power. Thanks guys. Next time though, it's ok if you let us figure it out for ourselves.
We have 2 refrigerator/freezers and an upright freezer filled with spoiled food. My cranky-o-meter is in the red zone. Waiting for daughter to finish getting dressed so we can go out and get coffee before heading out to drop her at her internship. Craving a grande skim latte with an extra shot.
I've been wanting to write a post about Obama for a long time, but my thoughts about him are a bit muddled. Trying to sort them out.

When you have recovered from the power outage:
I've been wanting to write a post about Obama for a long time
How would you convince someone to vote McCain instead of Obama? A lot of people are buying into Obama's hope and change message. They see McCain as a continuation of Bush.

Ok, I'll try to get to it asap. Thanks for the suggestion, Leora.
