Neil Sedaka Plays Chopin on "I've Got a Secret"

Wow.   Beautiful. He's quite an accomplished pianist. An interesting question and answer session precedes the music. (the pop song during the first few seconds is not so special - fortunately, it ends quickly)

Very cool! I remembered reading once that Sedaka is actually Jewish- just checked on Wikipedia and indeed he is!

And here's what it says re. the competition in Moscow:

"Ironically, Sedaka's participation in the competition, which Van Cliburn had won in 1958, was soon cancelled by the USSR because of Sedaka's rock and roll music ties."

Ha, they ended up cancelling it? Fascinating.
