Wisdom Tooth Drama
We had a motrin-induced heartburn crisis a few minutes ago. 600 mgs of Motrin on an empty stomach plus getting back into bed to lie down resulted in excruciating abdominal pain. A STAT dose of Pepcid and a cup of warm butternut squash soup (because that's what she wanted) to the rescue. 1/2 hour later, "Mom, would it be ok if Steph comes over to watch movies with me?"
And so ends another episode of "Wisdom Tooth Emergency." Next: Gail talks to Dr. Phil about how to survive the trauma of raising teenage girls to adulthood.

How-?
With lots of love, a sense of humor and appreciation of the wonder... Mine are a no longer teens... I remember their drams-angst-fear-pride and joys... It lasts not nearly as long as you think. Then the girl vanishes and turns into a grown-up woman who is pretty amazing... and the girl still shows up in surprising times and places... I remember telling mine to "Way a moment. You may be grown up, but I haven't"... It worked... They gave me the space to adjust to their changes... And I still get to be the cheesy Dad with the corny jokes, good advice and bad puns...
