He Found a Way to Surprise Me

He said he wanted to buy me something. I said I didn't want anything, that I had everything a woman could possibly want or need.  But I was wrong, and as usual, it was he who knew. Turns out, I wanted and needed two dozen long stemmed roses, sent two days before Valentine's Day (the forethought involved was noted and appreciated) accompanied by a beautiful note telling me he wanted me to think of him whenever I saw them.  (he's away on business this week)

As if I needed a reminder.

Unexpected, they took my breath away.

Sorry to get all smarmy, but it's true.  Even a crusty old battle axe like me gets misty sometimes.

I am very lucky to be married to such a wonderful man.
