Yes... I too am in the middle of it. I trust that noise was of a more normal variety frustration... at least I hope so.

I hope so too! Having barrels of fun playing the "pay attention to me/leave me alone/take care of me like a child/treat me like an adult/do it for me/don't do it for me" game. The rules change from one minute to the next and Mom is always the loser no matter how she plays it.

Yesterday, I spent an hour and a half while my daughter tried on 15 different pairs of blue jeans, only one of which was acceptable. I don't get it - but Terri explained that to a teenaged girl, these things are IMPORTANT. I spent my teen years trying to look as anti-social as possible, so I'm not qualified to judge efforts at looking stylish.

By the way, check your mail, Gail. <---that rhymes! I mailed a new compilation CD to you on Saturday.

AAAAaaaaaaRRRRRrrrrrrrGGGGGGGGGhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey, I remember that language! I promise at some point you will again realize why you had children and how wonderful they are. I promise. :-)

My baby is now 19 - the last year to be a teenager! Wahhhhh, makes me sad to think they are growing up!

"pay attention to me/leave me alone/take care of me like a child/treat me like an adult/do it for me/don't do it for me"

You mean my 5 year old is a teenager?

No, I think my teen was acting like a 5 year old.

I was told that a parent is much like the cat's sctarching pole. They need to claw to build up muscles and sharpen the claws... But those little claws can cut deep... My best day was telling my son "If you're a boy; I'll put up with such comments and behavior. If you're a man, I won't"... Things got better after that. He learned that He couldn't run and hide like a child when he wanted to be taken seriously...

It will get better. They will grow up and leave. Shortly afterwards they will be amazed at how smart you have become... Don't gloat-!
